I love the synth work in this. Fantastic. Badass.
you got it, fo sho
'Ooh, ooh, ooh'
3:23 is the bam diggidy. I would have liked that riff to have gone on for a bit longer before the squealy synth comes in, it's incredibly awesome.
Excellent work on this. I couldn't imagine doing a 14 min song anytime soon.
Nothing is repetitive, because the entire thing is one big journey of sound, you don't have a repeating melody for very long in any of this.
I remember the first dropbox link you sent me with the "ooh, ooh, ooh" synth as the framework for this, it really ended up turning out awesome.
Dude.
I really wish this was longer. The vibe is amazing. The melody reminds me of some sort of epic Metroid sequence. Beat is steady, chill, and fitting. This is one of my favorites from you. :)
One day it will grow.

Downtempo industrial, nice.
Only problem I had was the melody that came in at 0:42. Didn't seem to go with the flow of the song well.
Beat was perfect, though, and the vibe was good. I enjoyed it!
For some reason, the imagery I had in mind at the time was some kind of fucked up carousel, hence the melody you're speaking of.

This was incredibly easy listening, yet a very mid-upbeat tempo. I usually listen to a lot of downtempo stuff, so that is what I'm used to, but this seemed to relax perfectly well while maintaining a faster, happy feel.
I enjoyed it a lot. The only critique I would add is that the melody that starts off around 1:44, in the beginning until about 1:46 sounds a bit out of place with the rest of the music, but that's all.
Excellently done.
Great. I always look forward to reading the first review. I genuinely appreciate yours: thoughtful and helpful, while also being relatively short and to the point.
Thank you, and I'm glad you enjoyed it, Neurotangent.

This was awesome. Definitely some chillout vibes, but midtempo at the same time. The portamento was used excellently.
Don't really have any complaints. Nicely done!
thanks thats exactly what i was going for glad other people thought the same :)

Love what you did with this. Killer sample, love the original song it's from.
Easy listening. Always a fan of true Olskool hip hop.
Nicely done :) respect.
Gracias!

Doesn't need vocals, man. Instrumental hip hop is fine.
But that's just my opinion. I've always preferred instrumentals.
Very cool song. Loved the guitar. I suggest variation in that melody, though, it got a bit repetitive. Maybe counter melodies in spots.
oh yeah, its FAR from finished, i just thought i would post it up and see if anyone would even take interest in it.
I know its repetitive but i made it that way with the idea of having vocals as the variation. I can easily make it non repetitive and do just as you said, make it an instrumental and remake the thing, but i thought maybe someone on here might want to use vocals on it. If no one does take interest within the next month or so i will highly consider making it an instrumental
