Doesn't need vocals, man. Instrumental hip hop is fine.

But that's just my opinion. I've always preferred instrumentals.

Very cool song. Loved the guitar. I suggest variation in that melody, though, it got a bit repetitive. Maybe counter melodies in spots.

Tilkanuts responds:

oh yeah, its FAR from finished, i just thought i would post it up and see if anyone would even take interest in it.
I know its repetitive but i made it that way with the idea of having vocals as the variation. I can easily make it non repetitive and do just as you said, make it an instrumental and remake the thing, but i thought maybe someone on here might want to use vocals on it. If no one does take interest within the next month or so i will highly consider making it an instrumental

R&B isn't my thing, but it's a good song.

The only reason for the 9 is the autotune. I've never liked the sound of it and hate hearing it in modern hip hop and R&B. But eh.

It does sound very professional, though. I just wish the autotune wasn't there.

Mackity responds:

It's unfortunate you couldn't completly enjoy it but thanks for your time and I'm glad it was worth 9 rather than 0 :D

I liked the intro, transitioning from tinny to full sound.

I could really see this as bg music for a game like BOTS, if you've ever played it. It has that intense yet exploratory feel.

Fast stuff like this usually isn't my thing, but objectively, this is a good song. Wouldn't see it as a song to randomly listen to while doin' stuff on my PC, but it would definitely fit in with a tech-ish game or movie.

aloneagainfriend responds:

i play 2moons everyday... so, yes... i have heard of (and played) bots :P tytyty!

You should try finding people that dig downtempo/chillout electronic music...

Anyway, I dig, man. Interesting piece. Interesting's good, though. I think this would be a lot cooler with a more chilled beat, but that's just my opinion.

Nicely done.

dj5p00n responds:

i tried chill music, it makes me angry. angry music is like a release. thanks for the kudos. you get ten grandmaster ninja points

No...

Sounds like it was recorded with a $10 mic, the quality is shoddy. No structure or composition, and the voice was annoying.

karlkoolkid1999b responds:

dont hate the playa, hate the mic

I dig.

Volume was pretty loud, had to turn it down, but the song itself is excellent. I was bobbing my head in no time. Seems to be an industrial/breakbeat fusion. I like it.

KujiiroMusic responds:

Thanks :)

"So the program i use only offers REAL, if you will, Instruments. Thanks for your great reviews!"

What program do you use?

I really liked this, very ambient, with a definite eerie undertone.

MainManLuke responds:

Finale 2009. It's More of a music WRITING program than anything, so I can print sheet music for this (and unless you happen to know somebody that plays the harp and has their own personal choir that's pretty damn pointless) All of my music i just write the sheet music for and Finale will play it back. Thanks for rating/review!

Unless you know how to use it

^are the key words.

Any sequencer program is fine as long as you know how to use it. It's not how you make it, it's the end sound result.

FL Studio, Reason, Cubase, they all have their perks, but also all pretty much do the same shit.

ProjektDro responds:

Lol. I've been using dominantly Reason and FLStudio (and a little Ableton Live)

I don't think FLStudio is in any way an 'inferior' sequencing software, but you would most likely agree with me that with how popular it is with rookie/inexperienced beat-makers, it is slowly becoming that stereotypical piece of software that your 12 year old brother uses to make hip-hop beats, and video game remixes that ultimately sound terrible.

That is kind of my direction with this track. ... So many people tend to give this program a bad name because of the kind of music that these rookie artists have put out using it. You hear it all the time on NG specifically. ... Not trying to shoot down aspiring artists, but after hearing thousands of low-quality, unproduced, and randomized tracks come from using this software,...

...one tends to get a little... sarcastic every once in a while.

LOL =P

Awesome.

Extremely creative. I love the collaboration of metal guitar and 8bit synths. Sounds incredibly awesome together. I don't know what else to say.

Your friend is quite the guitarist. :)

Downloading.

midimachine responds:

Thanks a lot! If you like this style you should check out mashedbymachines on newgrounds, they do this sort of stuff too as well as lots of really good VG remixes :)

Familiar sounding.

It sounds eerily like Runescape music. Just the way things sound, especially whatever comes in at :32.

Not a bad thing, I loved the music in RS when I used to play it, it just has that feel to it. Don't really know how to describe it other than that. Kind of cheesy sounding, but in a good way, you know? It works.

Anyway, I enjoyed it.

ghook responds:

Thanks.

It probably sounds different, because it is actually a score I have written, then mixed.
It was inspired by that sort of music, so I am glad you enjoyed it.
