What program do you use?
I really liked this, very ambient, with a definite eerie undertone.

Finale 2009. It's More of a music WRITING program than anything, so I can print sheet music for this (and unless you happen to know somebody that plays the harp and has their own personal choir that's pretty damn pointless) All of my music i just write the sheet music for and Finale will play it back. Thanks for rating/review!
Unless you know how to use it
^are the key words.
Any sequencer program is fine as long as you know how to use it. It's not how you make it, it's the end sound result.
FL Studio, Reason, Cubase, they all have their perks, but also all pretty much do the same shit.
Lol. I've been using dominantly Reason and FLStudio (and a little Ableton Live)
I don't think FLStudio is in any way an 'inferior' sequencing software, but you would most likely agree with me that with how popular it is with rookie/inexperienced beat-makers, it is slowly becoming that stereotypical piece of software that your 12 year old brother uses to make hip-hop beats, and video game remixes that ultimately sound terrible.
That is kind of my direction with this track. ... So many people tend to give this program a bad name because of the kind of music that these rookie artists have put out using it. You hear it all the time on NG specifically. ... Not trying to shoot down aspiring artists, but after hearing thousands of low-quality, unproduced, and randomized tracks come from using this software,...
...one tends to get a little... sarcastic every once in a while.
LOL =P
Awesome.
Extremely creative. I love the collaboration of metal guitar and 8bit synths. Sounds incredibly awesome together. I don't know what else to say.
Your friend is quite the guitarist. :)
Downloading.
Thanks a lot! If you like this style you should check out mashedbymachines on newgrounds, they do this sort of stuff too as well as lots of really good VG remixes :)
Damn.
I really like this. The singing was a very nice touch. I don't really have any criticism.
Short and sweet.
Familiar sounding.
It sounds eerily like Runescape music. Just the way things sound, especially whatever comes in at :32.
Not a bad thing, I loved the music in RS when I used to play it, it just has that feel to it. Don't really know how to describe it other than that. Kind of cheesy sounding, but in a good way, you know? It works.
Anyway, I enjoyed it.
Thanks.
It probably sounds different, because it is actually a score I have written, then mixed.
It was inspired by that sort of music, so I am glad you enjoyed it.
Didn't like the snare
Other than that it was a nice tune, I enjoyed it. I think you should replace that snare though, it stands out a bit too much and sounds kind of tacky. Good harmony, though!
Awed.
Might be because I'm currently under the ganja influence, but hell, this was actually professional sounding. What kind of software are you using? Vocals reminded me of Mirror's Edge, which is excellent, a lot of the ambient original soundtrack for that is amazing. Is this mostly all sampled?
Downloading.
Only about 20% of this is sampled. The vocals like I said in the commentary are from "Air for Life." Everything else I made. The beats I sliced and resampled and the rest of the sounds and VSTi I used I made in the past. Oh and I use FL Studio. I guess you could say I'm a power user lol.
Refreshing.
As much as I like electronic vibes this brought me down to earth. I really enjoyed the feel of this song. Made me think country, but not annoying country, space country. Like the show Firefly. Very nice playing.
I don't know what's firefly but I'll take a look at youtube now lol
Fantastic.
I don't know what else to say. You really encompassed the ambient genre. Very well done. I like the subtle kicks that work their way in and get louder. This entire piece progresses well and flows well. Definitely looking forward to more like this.
I liked this
Very chilled, almost ambient, I enjoyed it a lot. Especially the Afircan-sounding drums and whatever strings came in at :56.
The transition at 1:28 seemed a bit rushed, though.
Looking forward to more like this.
